Purpose
The Permanent Program for Education and Climate Change (PPECC) is committed to fostering a culture of sustainability and environmental responsibility within the university community and society at large through comprehensive education on climate change. The program promotes a deeper understanding of the causes and impacts of Climate Change to support the development of solutions that address current and future environmental challenges.
It also encourages the ongoing integration of activities, projects, and hands-on practices that promote environmental awareness, community engagement, and sustainable development.

Develop academic activities that engage students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the broader community in Climate Change mitigation and adaptation efforts.

Organize conferences, seminars, forums, and sustainability events featuring experts, advocates, researchers, and artists to promote dialogue and knowledge exchange.

Implement climate change and sustainability awareness campaigns through digital platforms and print media.

Support initiatives that improve waste management, promote energy efficiency, and enhance green spaces throughout the university campus.

Establish measurable performance indicators to assess the program’s impact on reducing the university’s carbon footprint and increasing environmental awareness.

Implement and participate in projects that help reduce the institution's environmental footprint.

Partner with local communities to develop initiatives focused on Climate Change resilience, environmental education, and sustainable development.
